The Examiner's Mind

Essay type Examinations scripts are not marked by machines or computers but by humans. This means that all the necessary ingredients or features should be present before the candidates is given the full marks.

How do examiners think?
Examiners are humans and therefore think just like you. Examiners don't punish candidates for offences they have not committed.

1. Examiners are fair.
They only punish those who wants to be punish. They give marks to those who deserve and deduct marks from those who deviate from the norm.

2. Examiners have no time for meaningless info.
Examiners do not have time to read and mark meaningless words or sentences. Their time is very precious to them and there will not tolerate any time wasting activity by any candidate.

What do Examiners regard as meaningless info?

3. Your scripts is money.
Examiners are paid based on the number of scripts they have answered. This means they will like to mark more scripts within the time available.

4. Examiners have deadline to meet.
Most Examination Bodies give limited time to Examiners within which they must mark the scripts given.
